SC430 For sale.

Yes I am selling my own car.

I bought this car 3-ish years ago, it had 16,000 miles on it then and it has 39,600 on it now. These miles are genuine and I guarantee them.

In the last 2 years that I have lived up here I have used it less and less, until now where I don't use it at all. I doubt if I have done 1000 miles in the last year.

Less than a 1000 miles ago I fitted new front disc and pads, and Fud fitted 4 new tyres on it for me, the right ones for the car, not cheap ones.

I have done everything to it that it has needed, not that it has needed anything other than the brakes, tyres, oils and filters etc.

It is a 2002 - 52 car.

It drives like it should, which is 10 times better than the my Soarer that is one of the best driving Soarer's around.

Everything is working as it should, it is NOT an import, it is a UK car so all the SAT NAV and radio etc is UK and all works as it should.

There is no point listing the things that it has as it has everything including the upgraded Mark Levinson 16 speaker stereo.

It also has the 2004 wheel trims, as I prefer them to the older 2001 trims.

It has a tiny tiny dink in one of the doors near the handle, smaller than a pin head.

The roof all works as it should, this car doesn't have any faults worth listing here.

The front bumper has a tiny crack in the piant where is bolts to the wing. hardly noticeable.

It has my private number on it, this will have to come off.

I will give it a full check over before it goes, a service and anything that I find that needs changing.

I will also guarantee this car for a year, with labour only repairs.

It has service history after the 16,000 miles when I first bought it, and I have serviced it every time since then.

The cheapest on I could find on auto trader is £17,995, but none have this low miles, for £18k you get a minimum 60,000 miles and one had 96,000 on it.

But I live in the real world, I think this car is worth £17k and I will not be bid on that price, unless you find a car with that spec, and miles and condition with a guarantee and only then if is just a touch under £17k.

I will take and old Soarer in part exchange, but please don't ask me 3 or 5 grand for a car that is only worth £1500. I "might" take another P/ex if I think it is worth it.

My car has a hard wired Parrot hands free phone system in it, that I will leave in there.
It also has a hard wired Tiny road pilot speed camera detector, and a lazer blocker, again hard wired, but I disabled it as these are now illegal, however it wouldn't take much to make it work again, not that I advise this action.

It has a spare key and spare wheel, some of these cars do not have a spare, they have run flats, but not this car.

If I think of anything else I will let you know here.

Gonna have to withdraw your Master Mariner's certificate Smiffie......for what it's worth, I drove this car for a short distance in December '07....I changed my opinion about it (from the driver's seat, not the photographer's position)....It drives beautifully and is much more nimble than you might think...good luck with the sale Smiffie

Having driven this for a few days as a 'loaner' I can vouch that whoever gets it will love it. You have to watch the right foot mind you. As Pete says, it's much more nimble than you think.

Beautiful car. Good luck with the sale. I cant believe how cheap an sc430 is in the UK. You would be hard pressed to find one cheaper then 60 k in Australia. What are the plans after this beast Smif?

We don't need two cars now, when we were in London I would go out to work and drive about here and there and She would go shopping and visiting etc, and we needed our own cars.

Now were are "in the sticks" we don't go anywhere alone, I rarely go out now and if I do it's it only into town on a short trip, Tracey goes shopping everyday so she needs her car.

When we go out we use her car, its 2003 RX300 so we all get in it easy.

I am going to sell the SC430, and then buy a later diesel big saloon, or maybe part ex her RX for a nearer one. Dunno yet.

If I need to go into town I have Loaded here, plus a few others and a couple of vans etc, so I don't need a car now.

Shame though cos I love driving this car.

You will regret selling it, just like you did Loaded, and just like Loaded you will buy another one some time in the future

Fud had a nice diesel Peugeot for sale, I believe...

Good luck with the sale. The right person is out there somewhere. She just needs to see the ad first!

Not usally in to red cars, but you don't see too many red soarers over here.
I've been looking at this one on TradeMe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-158661834.htm
It's an import to NZ. Dunno about the milage though.
Very red. Me likes.

I had mine for 2 years and did 14000 miles from almost new (4000k) when I brought it in myself from Yokohama.

A classy drive but not as sporty as the TT.
I think `Hampster` or was it May(?), had it about right that a 282bhp convertible should not be driven like a sports car; just fer cruisin`, OK?

I did find it annoying that I had Jap SatNav, not to mention a direct line to a Bank in Tokyoooo, were useless in the UK.

The only problem I had on it was a recall on the tyre pressure caps which Lexus, Southampton honored as they couldn`t risk any SC430 in `unsafe` condition. The roof mechanism did once EAT the tip of a custom fishing rod .... but that was just me being a bit of an Ahhh... So!

What a shame BLB (SW member) now has the vehicle and has had some engine management problems with it. I didn`t experience any problems with mine (other than the tyre caps) and was quite happy to get the money back on it after two years driving.
The almost new ex-demo straight from the dealer (4K kilometres on the clock) cost me 29K pounds in 2001. The equivelent price for a similar UK vehicle at the time was around 45K pounds.

Good luck with the sale.

Ada

Yup, that is one nice car, I have driven it a few times and although I kept making the cracks about Steve now needing a Day Skipper's Certificate, it is quick and it is nimble.

Nice motah, as we say sarf of the river and ideal for impressing the ladeez and it even has a hard roof that comes up automatically when those drug deals go sour and you have to drive off fast through the bullets!!

Seriously, anyone with the spondoolix would be mad to pass it up.
